What is the deadline for the Corporate Tax return?

Nine months after the end of your financial year. For a calendar-year entity, the first return covering 2024 was due 30 September 2025; the 2025 return is due 30 September 2026. We file at least a month early.

What counts as qualifying income for free-zone Corporate Tax?

Income from transactions with other free-zone persons, certain qualifying activities (fund management, treasury, holding), and exports of services — provided you meet adequate substance, audited financials and de minimis tests. We test this case by case.

What if my VAT return shows a refund?

You can carry it forward against future VAT or apply for a cash refund. We handle the application, including answering FTA queries, and most refunds settle within 20 business days of approval.

How are you billed?

Most engagements run on a fixed monthly retainer in AED, billed in advance, with VAT shown separately on the tax invoice. One-off projects (company setup, a website build, a relocation move) are quoted up front with no hourly surprises.

Question 5

Can you work with us if we don't live in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most of our clients are based outside the UAE when they first engage us. We sign and onboard remotely, collect documents through a secure portal, and only need you in person for steps that the authorities require, such as biometrics for your residency visa.
